Beautiful Bicycle Monday
Today I’m proud to announce the launch of the Scrap City Cycles web shop. Scrap City Cycles is a startup manned by brother and craftsman Kameron Klimes, producing custom-designed bicycles and leather goods out of Saint Louis, USA.
Some of you may recall a post from a couple months ago showcasing one of Scrap City Cycles’ bikes. Each is one-of-a-kind and that particular ride is now in the hands of a proud new owner, but Kameron is open for orders and continues to produce his own project bikes that will be available intermittently (last I saw, a textured flat-black frame with mustache handlebars lurked ominously in the corner of his studio).
Today Kameron introduces handmade leather toe straps and handlebar wrap (the latter will be available in the coming weeks). Both are made from natural vegetable tanned leather sourced from across town at the Midwest’s oldest tannery, Hermann Oak Leather.
Beautiful and affordable, but even more so for readers of Secret Republic: Use code SECRETREPUBLIC at checkout for a 15% discount, an offer available until Friday night. Free shipping is included for orders within the continental US.
